CETMA’s coming to Venice and hunting for a new home.
In October, my wife and I will move to Venice, California. We’ll have an apartment leased, but I’m still searching for the perfect new headquarters for CETMA.
Here is what I’m looking for:
- 300 square-feet of work space (single-car garage) minimum. My equipment is compact and I’m well-organized, but this is the smallest area I can work in.
- Ventilation, etc… My welding and grinding makes smoke, sparks, and noise. The ideal work shop will have good ventilation, concrete floors, and be far from any sleep-research facility or retirement home.
- Security. The new CETMA home needs to be lockable and well-protected while I’m away.
- A shared space is okay. I don’t mind sharing space with the right person/people. I’m happy to share space with motorcycle or hot rod builders, machinists, blacksmiths, artists, or even other frame-builders. Company is good.
- West-side location. My residence will be in Venice, so the ideal CETMA home will be near there. I’m willing to commute for the right space. I’m familiar with L.A. and know the area.
I’ll be in L.A. from September 4-10 and eager to view potential spaces then.
